TRP: the Richmond, Virginia Chapter 

 

The programs and community-building strategies developed by The Rhapsody Project inspired lifelong Virginian and professional musician Justin Golden to found the first new chapter of tRp outside its original home in Seattle.

By founding a monthly, all ages blues jam, and working to expand to add an after-school music program for youth in fall of 2022, Justin has worked for over two years as a member of the tRp leadership to develop his strategy and lay groundwork for this new chapter of our organization. 

​

While a primary goal of this chapter is to draw more youth into community around a celebration of informal music-making, Justin is also paving the way for other organizers to develop their own chapters of tRp all over the place!
