She's the author of Well of Souls: Uncovering the Banjo's Hidden History and Flowers in the Gutter: The True Story of the Edelweiss Pirates, Teenagers Who Resisted the Nazis. In her creative writing, she's passionate about highlighting forgotten and marginalized histories. She's also worked with nonprofits and small businesses for over ten years, helping them craft and tell their stories.
