This after-school program is centered around exploring heritage, American roots music history, and community focused music education. Students will learn:

• Exercises to explore their own personal heritage

• An introduction to American roots music and the people who helped make it

• Active/critical music listening skills

• Basic music skills

• How to play music in a social/community setting
