This Is America
9-12th Grade
Students in this program will gain a deeper understanding of systemic oppression in America. Using resources such as the 1619 project, in addition to song lyrics and stories of musicians and music throughout American history, students will engage in guided conversations and activities designed to help them recognize bias—and think about personal strategies for confronting it.
